White Rooms. From Boston, UK. Specialise in bringing Jungle, Drum n Bass & Dubstep to the masses!
The group originally formed in March 2008, and started at the Axe and Cleaver, promoting the DnB angle on a thursday night as part of what evolved into "Aspects of Dance" which still runs today. At the same time, they also started running Saturday nights at the Ship Inn complex, eventually re-opening the infamous 'Underground' music venue. The nights down there that the boys were involved with (essentially most dance music nights including Hardcore and Techno) went from strength to strength including getting one of Hardcores freshest up and coming talents Samba D involved, with what became the SD Music night and getting the legendary Shy FX down as a guest at the White Rooms night. After a few months of running parties at this venue and a change of the venue manager, White Rooms came to the decision of parting ways with the Ship Inn complex, and soon after managed to secure a regular night at one of Boston's hottest night spots, Eclipse nightclub. The core members are still involved in the night and continue to play the best tunes to the Boston partygoers and post-pub stragglers.
As well as their own nights, 2 of the White Rooms crew (Mr Rayner & Jam Master Jim) managed to secure themselves a residency at Cutz Recordingz, which is undoubtedly the biggest dedicated Drum and Bass night in Lincoln, which means month after month they rub shoulders with some of the scenes biggest and best DJs alongside the areas best talent.
With more White Rooms events expected in 2009, the future looks bright for this group of dedicated individuals...
